About “The Wandering Minstrel”
This is a character driven, reality based television show about
travel and music in Southern Africa featuring the uniquely
talented Clint Cunningham and his travelling band. It
showcases Clint’s passionate love for music and
entertainment as well as his equally passionate connection to
people and adventure travel by motorcycle.
This show was born out of the love for people, music, and
travel in beautiful Africa. Music plays an integral part in this
series. Music is a universal language that unites people of all
races. Africa is such a beautiful destination, and its people
even more colourful. In this series, it is revealed why Africa is magic.
Many a small town is featured. Its history is told by and shown through the eyes
of the local people, whilst they join in the celebration of music.
Clint entertains with his band at high profile casinos, quaint country theatres,
solo around the campfire and to locals on the side of the road in rural Southern
Africa.
The natural scenery of Botswana,
Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe,
Lesotho and South Africa are featured
as Clint revels in the elements of
adventure and discovery while
entertaining his way across the
subcontinent.
Episodes filmed to date cover The Northern Cape, Kwazulu Natal,
Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The pilot episode introduces the band, Clint & Co., and Clint’s team
of intrepid adventurers. Clint speaks about his intention of
amalgamating his three passions; music, people and adventure
biking, into a highly entertaining TV series. The team are in The Northern Cape, South Africa and visit a
game lodge, camp on the banks of the Orange River and the band performs at the Flamingo Casino in
Kimberley. They chat to locals about their lives, interests in music and the history of the region.
Future episodes will take you on yet further wonderful journeys through The Transkei, The Eastern Cape,
The Garden Route, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique.
